Foraging Session with Jennifer Williams of Naked Jam

Would you like to learn more about the plants that grow wild in this area and how they can be used? Join local Forager and wild food expert Jennifer Williams in her ‘Globe on the Green’ and you will learn what you can and can't eat and how some plants can be used in medicine and of course drinks. After your informative walk you go back to the foraging table where Jennifer will guide you to make your own cordial, tea which your be able to use either as a syrup for your favourite ice cream or in a drink, be it a mocktail for our parents or a way to liven up your bottle of water. Recipes tips and advice on where and what to forage will be available throughout the day.

Jennifer is a local woman who helps people connect with nature through foraging and growing edible plants. She is the Chewton Glen forager and uses her finds to provide the hotel with jam. She also works alongside Remy Cointreau ,Belvedere vodka and the Bear Grylls group, foraging around the globe she has had some interesting experiences.

She is also a well-known food judge and the grower. working with hotels and establishments helping them grow edible gardens. Such as Wentworth golf club in Surrey and a few prestigious hotel roof gardens.

Join Rachel Hills of Skylight Kitchen for the following Cooking Workshops

 

Workshop 1 – 10:30-11:30 £6.00

 

Workshop 2 – 12:30-13:30 £6.00

 

The children will make a delicious Shredded BBQ Chicken and Coleslaw Wrap.

 

Workshop 3 – 14:30-15:30 £12.00

 

For a parent/grandparent and child, working together you will make fresh pasta for a tasty Summer Vegetable Cannelloni, on a rich tomato sauce, finished with a creamy cheese topping.

Join us for a fun packed chocolate workshop with award winning chocolatier Kerry Witt from Chocolates by Miss Witt

Workshops for parents and children 10.30am and 12.15pm

 

Come along and learn where chocolate comes from and how to taste chocolate. You will learn to temper chocolate with a fun test and learn to make some chocolate lollipops and a chocolate man.
